If properly cared for, the polyurethane finish on your cork tiles will provide years of service in normal use.
Polyurethane finished floors may be buffed to restore the finish and remove scuffs.
Caution: Be sure to perform a test in a small area prior to buffing the entire floor.
Buff only a clean floor. Dirt and grit can permanently scratch the polyurethane finish during the buffing process.
Dry buff the floor, using a white polishing pad on a low speed (175-600 RPM) rotary buffing machine. Do not use any type of buffing compound, wax or liquid on the floor.
After the buffing has been completed, dust mop the floor.
ADDITIONAL MAINTENANCE
When the polyurethane begins to show signs of wear (traffic patterns, dulled or scratched finish), it is necessary to re-coat the floor.
Cork floor re-coating involves lightly screening and applying the floor with 2 coats of an approved polyurethane finish.
