Learn how commercial carpeting is manufactured and how its construction affects performance. This seminar will also cover: reading specifications, fibers and backing materials, installation methods, and maintenance.


Sustainable Carpeting: Natural Fibers
Natural fibers, including wool, cotton, linen, silk, sisal, jute, seagrass, paper, and coir, offer elegant and environmentally-friendly solutions to your carpeting needs. This seminar will cover these natural fibers from harvest through maintenance–where they come from, how to distinguish between them, appropriate uses, installation methods and concerns, and proper care.


Sustainable Floor Covering: Cork, Linoleum, Bamboo, and Mesquite
The floor covering industry offers a range of rapidly renewable and biodegradable options, including cork, linoleum, bamboo, and mesquite. This seminar will cover specifications, installation procedures, and maintenance recommendations for these environmentally-friendly materials.


Specifying Resilient Flooring
This seminar will compare raw ingredients, manufacturing processes, recommended installations, maintenance requirements, and lifecycle costs for resilient flooring materials including linoleum, vinyl, rubber, VCT, and cork.
